Asia Cup 2025 Schedule

The 17th edition of the Asia Cup 2025 is all set to take place from September 9 to 28 in the UAE. It will be held in T20 format and promises to deliver a month-long celebration of thrilling cricket action for fans across the world. It will see eight top Asian teams divided into two groups, with the winners of each group advancing to the Super Four stage and then to the final. India and Pakistan, who don’t play each other in bilateral series, have been drawn into the same group, with a potential third meeting in the Super Four or even the final if both teams progress further.

The tournament will see all teams compete in a round-robin format against each other in their group. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four stage, where they’ll face off against each other in a one-off match. The two winning teams will then meet in the final to decide the champions.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will lead the team, while a host of young talent like Axar Patel, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma and Sanju Samson will also feature. Shubman Gill is expected to be India’s vice-captain, while Ishan Kishan and Ravindra Jadeja are likely to be the travelling reserves.
